Understanding the move

How it goes

  • End of the rotation: the lead's left hand goes straight up; their right hand leaves the follow's back.
  • During the turns: the lead's hand draws a small circle over the follow's head for each turn; the follow travels down the slot while turning.
  • Meanwhile the lead backs up a little, free right arm close to the body.

Usual mistakes

  • The lead raises the hand too late: the second turn spills over and the ending gets rushed.
  • The lead makes big circles with the arm: the follow gets pulled off their axis.
