Understanding the move

Count by count

5-6: the follow spins with the arms tucked in close, travelling toward the end of the slot.
6: the lead already holds the left hand out at waist height, where the follow will land, without reaching after them.

Usual mistakes

The follow opens the arms during the spin: they slow down and arrive late for the hand.
The lead lets go too late: the hand follows the turn and the wrist twists.
